Christian Pastors in China

Abbott Ministries Society has taken a trip to Beijing, China and has had a meeting with the leader of the “Official Chinese Government Authorized Christian Church”.   We asked the question, “What is slowing the spread of Christianity in China?”  We received the answer, “ There are not enough Pastors because there is not enough money to pay a Pastor to support their own family.”  We are currently in communications with this top level Church official, to meet the requirements of our financial donors, that will allow Abbott Ministries Society to provide payment for the salaries of these “Government authorized Christian Pastors” in China.

We hear reports in the Western World about how Christians are persecuted in China.  Abbott Ministries Society conducted It’s own preliminary investigation.  From what we saw with our own eyes, the Government of China freely allows people to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and then to be baptized into the Holy Spirit.  Therefore, there is most certainly more detail that must be seriously considered regarding the events of Christian persecution in China.  Abbott Ministries Society found that the Government of China has rules about the teaching of religion, and that if those rules are not followed, serious consequences will follow.  However, within those rules, we have not discovered anything that prohibits a person from accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, or being baptized into the Holy Spirit.  Even if that most basic level of Christianity is all that is achieved in a person’s life on this earth, it is indescribably better than going to hell for eternity !

As we continued the meeting we had with this “High Level Chinese Christian Church Official”, Abbott Ministries Society understood that there are now about 100 million Christians in China.  We also understand that they estimate there are about 30 thousand new Christians every month throughout China.  This is too slow !   There are about 1.3 Billion people in China.  At 30 thousand new Christians per month, it will take over three thousand years  to reach all the people in China!

In the Bible we are told in (KGV) Matthew 9:37,  “The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few.” For the Glory of God and His Kingdom, we pray for the supply of more Labourers.
